This conference aims to disseminate a correct knowledge of social marketing at national level, and to propose its use for the prevention of problems relating to human/environment interaction. Such an interaction has always had consequences that have negative repercussions on both the integrity of ecosystems and on people’s health and quality of life. The Agenda 2030 of the United Nations, with its 17 Goals of Sustainable Development therefore highlighted the need to adopt new intersectoral development models that integrate environmental, economic, health and social aspects.
Furthermore, an approach to behavioral change is needed, which directs people to adopt responsible, sustainable and safe actions. And in fact social marketing is configured as one of the most effective tools in favoring the free and conscious choice of healthy behaviors. Its purpose is to create an environment conducive to change and take advantage of evaluation tools, in order to eliminate those cognitive, cultural, environmental and socio-economic barriers that prevent the adoption of the proposed behaviors.

The conference is organized, for the first time in Italy, in collaboration with ESMA (European Social Marketing Association).
